I am interested in hearing from anyone that is interested in joining our Central Connnecticut weather watchers. I have been trying for awhile to get an operation started. I am located in Rocky Hill which is in Hartford County.
You do not need to be an amateur radio operator to join this group. If you have an interest in weather reporting this is the place for you.
Central Connecticut Weather Group
Does the forecast of severe weather get your juices flowing? Have you ever felt the scary excitement of a particularly strong wind gust and thought "Whoa! I wonder if anyone else experienced that!" When strong storms hit and trees go down, are you eager to find out how extensive the surrounding damage is?
If you enjoy sharing the experience of severe weather and live in the Hartford and Middletown area (counties of Hartford or Middlesex), please join our email group.
We use the term "club" loosely. We don't have any meetings, officers, dues or obligations of any kind. Joining our group simply connects you with others in the area who enjoy sharing the experience of observing severe weather.
Here's how it works:
When you join our e-mail group, we will let you know via e-mail when severe weather is approaching. Otherwise, this e-mail group should be fairly quiet, so you shouldn't be swamped by e-mail when you join.
When severe weather is happening, we use a free, easy to use program called WXSpots to communicate what we are seeing. The program lets us post observations and communicate with everyone in our group in real time in an instant message format. You can download the WXSpots software from www.wxspots.com
This e-mail group can also be used for weather education and discussion of home weather stations, etc.
Everyone in Central Connecticut area is welcome, invited and encouraged to join us. If this sounds like fun, please follow this link to join now!

Please send me an email if you are interested in joining my regional group here on WXSpots.
